Working Women’s Wardrobe

For some women, the biggest obstacle to finding a good job is what to wear to an interview.  The Working Women’s Wardrobe provides women with limited income the opportunity to select appropriate, professional-level clothing, whether they are looking for employment, in a training program, or just starting a new job.  Every six months, eligible clients can visit the wardrobe and select up to five outfits (dependent upon current available inventory).  Clients must have a signed referral from their case manager (Work Source, People for People, Work First or other service agency).

Eligible Clients can “shop” free of charge at YWCA Yakima’s Persimmon Boutique during regular business hours Monday – Friday, 10am to 6pm and Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Persimmon is located in the Westpark Shopping Center at 4001 Summitview Avenue, Suite 4, Yakima WA 98908.

ELIGIBILITY:  Only clients with pre-approved vouchers will be allowed access to the wardrobe, and will be accompanied by YWCA staff

CONFIDENTIALITY:  In order to maintain the confidentiality and safety of our clients, please note that everyone utilizing the Wardrobe will be asked to sign a Waiver of Confidentiality form.
