YWCA Yakima Executive Director Amy Flynn has announced she will be leaving the agency and relocating with her family to California. She will continue to work with the YWCA Yakima to assist with transition through June. The board and staff for the YWCA Yakima wish Amy and her family well as they pursue new endeavors to serve the community in Los Angeles.
Amy started her work at the YWCA Yakima as the Fund Development Director and then moved into the Executive Director position. Under her leadership, the YWCA Yakima opened Persimmon, a thrift boutique that employs clients receiving services at the YWCA, providing job skills training and a “soft launch” in to the workforce. The boutique is located at Westpark Shopping Center, 4001 Summitview Ave. in Yakima.
The YWCA Yakima Board of Directors and staff look forward to welcoming new leadership while continuing to support the mission and serving our community. The YWCA Yakima Executive Search Committee has begun the search process and are preparing for a smooth transition.
